Support Groups

UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion Sleep Disorders Center offers support and education groups for people with sleep disorders:

A.W.A.K.E.

Alert, Well, And Keeping Energetic is a support and educational group for people with sleep apnea, and their families. This is an ongoing every-other-month meeting, with guest speakers to talk on topics relating to sleep apnea, and time for socializing, and support. It is free of charge.  Friends and family members are encouraged to attend.  Free street parking around the hospital is available.  Refreshments will be served.

Chris Garvey, NP, Sleep Specialist at UCSF will discuss coping with the mask.  Bring your favorite mask to discuss with the group.

This meeting will be sponsored by Sleep Quest.  Bring your mask and machine for pressure checks and troubleshooting.

Meetings take place the third Thursday of even months from 7:30pm to 9pm at the Hellman Conference Room at UCSF/Mount Zion, 1600 Divisadero Street, San Francisco.
